Expired Club 420 Session 4 – 2022

Club 420 Explorer

In this five-day session, students will learn on-the-water safety, tacking, gybing, sail trim, and boat handling. No experience is required to enroll in the C420 Explorer class.  This course can be taken multiple times.  Each week your sailor builds upon the fundamentals of sailing.

Ages 13 – 17 (or under 13 and over 120 lbs)
Prerequisite: None!

Club 420 Advanced

Club 420 Advanced sailors are students who have taken several weeks of the Club 420 Explorer sessions and have shown advanced sailing ability. The Club 420 Advanced session is for students who are not yet ready for racing but would like to continue working on more advanced skills and techniques. Sailors will continue to work on points of sail and boat control. There will be more advanced topics introduced such as spinnaker sailing, reading the wind/weather, and other more advanced boat handling techniques.
Students will be required to demonstrate their knowledge on the first day of class.  Anyone without enough experience will be moved to the Explorer class.

Ages 13 – 17
Prerequisite: 1-2 weeks of Club 420 Explorer
