ExpiredClub 420 Session 1 – 2022

Club 420 Explorer

In this five-day session, students will learn on-the-water safety, tacking, gybing, sail trim, and boat handling. No experience is required to enroll in the C420 Explorer class.  This course can be taken multiple times.  Each week your sailor builds upon the fundamentals of sailing.

Ages 13 – 17 (or under 13 and over 120 lbs)
Prerequisite: None!

Afternoon LAND CAMP

New for 2022!
SCSS will provide educational and fun off-the-water activities for students following select day camps.  Land Camp will be offered from 3:30 (after sailing camps) until 6pm.  Parents/guardians are welcome to pick up kids at any time during this camp.
Cost: $125 for 5 days  (discounts for individual/partial days are not offered at this time)

Every student will receive:

  • The annual Saint Croix Sailing School T-Shirt.
  • The Little Red Book.  The Little Red Book is US Sailing’s certification system.  As sailors progress, instructors will sign off on the skills mastered.

Description:

We are located at the south end of 1st Street in Riverfront Park, just outside the gate to the marina.  There are a couple of buildings and many sailboats in the area.  Parking is available on 1st Street.

Drop Off & Pick Up of Kids:
Staff will be on hand to scan your ticket (new for 2021) at drop off and pick up of your student.  Parents/guardians in vehicles can now drop off kids without leaving your car!  Please print or bring up your ticket on your cell phone to speed the process.  Ticket and ID will be required for pick up of youths.

Adult Students:
The school is your primary meeting point, but your instructor may give you alternate locations for parking and lessons based upon boat locations in the harbor.
