The Saint Croix Sailing School (SCSS) is firmly committed to providing access to all our programs for all kids regardless of their financial circumstances.
The school has a scholarship fund, supported in part by generous donors, which is available to any family in need of financial assistance. Scholarship grants can range from partial payment of class fees to full payment.
Qualified applicants must establish financial need and a serious interest in sailing instruction. A brief written summary describing the basis of a scholarship request is required. A SCSS scholarship review committee evaluates the request and will arrange an interview for the applicant (and parents if appropriate).
Scholarship applicants are reminded that SCSS is a non-profit, volunteer organization. SCSS welcomes volunteer work, donations, and related support to the school.
The scholarship application process is held in strict confidence. Awards are announced publicly only with expressed permission by a recipient.
