Event Category: Learning Sessions

This is a week-long class (M-F, 9:00-3:30) for kids of any sailing ability ages 6-17.  Nine sessions will be offered this summer.  Kids will be grouped in classes by age and/or skill.  This class follows curriculum developed by US Sailing designed to engage kids and advance their development.

We use two types of boats: Optimist dinghies and Club 420s. Though there is overlap between the boats, smaller, lighter kids tend to prefer the Opti’s and older, heavier kids tend to prefer the 420. When assessing the student, kids may be moved to a different boat if we think that will provide a better experience and better learning opportunity.
